A Bank with a Difference

Many of us tend to have the impression that all banks are just out there to make money by accepting whatever loan applications they get from their clients. Often the bigger the loan application, the better.
This is not always the case. Some banks are not all about simply making money the first chance they get. Take Co-op Bank for example, they offer a competitive loan with an ethical twist!
This bank’s financial products are bound to their ethical policy. In year 2005 alone, they have turned away some GBP10 million worth of business that conflicted with their ethical policy! That is what I call excellent business ethics of a bank.
We can be rest assured that the money we borrow from Co-op Bank has not come from the profits of unnecessary pollution, human rights abuse, etc.
