I'm a loser, I have never heard of BookCrossing until recently when someone wrote me. From the brief reading I had on that website, it seems that one can register a book they wish to release in the wild, as in place it at public places for others to hunt. Finders are not keepers though, read here - finders are expected to do the same. I don't think I'll be participating as I am not an avid reader (I know, loser me!).
